There are multiple processes before a pair of well crafted scissors reaches your hands.
We first refine the steel (cobalt or carbon), roughly sharpening it.
By hand, we shape the hollow ground, a trademark of any Japanese scissors.
The final shape is achieved by hammering every blade. It is a very precise step requiring exceptional craftsmanship.
Similarly to Japanese knives, the inner face is finally sharpened using different types of whetstones.
